Acti-Kare of the Blue Ridge Caregiver Shares her talent with Community and Wins 1st Place

Marcia Smith has been caregiver with Acti-Kare of the Blue Ridge for more than a year. While we have recognized Marcia as a talented caregiver recently she was able to demonstrate her artistic talent in the city of Lynchburg, VA. The city announced they were holding a contest to have local artists paint murals on some of the storm drains in the downtown area. Marci took up the challenge and in the weeks prior to the annual “Get Down Town” celebration spent several of her days off from working as a caregiver to paint a beautiful mural. The judges were the local citizens of Lynchburg and the surrounding counties. Voting was held September 7th, 2018 during the 10th Annual “Get Down Town” event. And on September 19th Marcia was notified that she had won! We want to congratulate Marcia on her outstanding Mural and civic involvement. The following link has the announcement.

You voted at Get Downtown and we're excited to announce that Marcia Smith is the winner of the #ArtStormLYH Fan Favorite…
