“We met with John Moisa in order to arrange for care for my father. John was a pleasure to work with and talk to. My parents live in a remote area and Acti-Kare was still able to staff us when other companies were not able to or not willing to staff in that location. He came to the house and met with us to explain the services they offered and to help us decide on the necessary care for my father. He was respectful and listened to all our concerns and addressed them thoroughly. We did choose to hire Acti-Kare for 4 hours a day. However, my father had to go into the hospital so the services were not needed at that time. John contacted me several times and seemed to have genuine concern for my dad. After a couple weeks in the hospital we determined that we would need 8 hours a day when dad got out of the hospital. John was able to assure us that he would be able to staff that without any problem. Shortly after that the hospital staff told us that we would need 24 hour a day care when dad would be discharged and again, John was concerned for my father and was happy to help us arrange that care. Sadly, my dad passed away before he could return home. John was understanding and offered his condolences. Although we never had any caregivers at the house, we were pleased with his concern and care for our situation. I would recommend John’s company, Acti-Kare, for senior home assistance and care.”

“My Mother was in a local Independent Living facility in Lynchburg and was approaching 99 years old, I felt that she needed more assistance than an assisted living option could give her. She wanted to stay in her apartment and be with her friends. I happened to visit my Lawyer who is a big advocate for the aging and she recommended Acti-Kare. I contacted John Moisa and within 24 hours he came over to my Mother’s apartment and talked to us about Acti-Kare and what they offered. I decided to have them start immediately. After a few weeks my Mother decided that she no longer needed the sitters and let them go. (A very independent 99 year old). Not agreeing with that move, I called John back and he had the sitters to come back within 24-48 hours. John is very quick to respond and compassionate to you needs. The sitters were good to my Mother. I would highly recommend Acti-Kare.
I live out of town and this gave me a piece of mind.”

“I highly recommend Acti-Kare for in-home care. They are very dependable and conscientious. I greatly appreciate the flexibility of their service by not binding us with a long term contract. They are the only care provider we have found to meet our needs. Both my mom and i are grateful for their care.”

“John and Angle were the two people that I had contact with. John was very informative at the first meeting with myself and my wife Nancy. We understood the various services that they could offer. The about two weeks that we had Angle I felt very comfortable. I would recommend them highly.”

“We contacted Acti-Kare of the Blue Ridge with a short notice request. We knew it was a 50/50 chance of any company to be able to staff with such short notice. Acti-Kare was able to meet our needs, the staff did an excellent job and met and excessed our needs. Thanks”
